Still the best band out there. Contrary to moronic belief, Get a grip had some great stuff and 9 lives is the best tour I have seen them on and I have been going to see them since 78.

Night in the Ruts is a great album. All Aerosmith's albums are great, I enjoy the old stuff with the new; Best band ever.

I remember seeing them on this tour in Costa Mesa California in August of '83. I also remember Dio opening for them. I also saw them 4 years earlier, in 1979, in Los Angeles, just before Perry left.
Aerosmith was clearly on their way to obscurity during the 1983 tour. It was a sad time for Aerosmith. Personally, I hate their recent stuff... all that stuff they won Grammy's for... I just think that music sucks. The Corporate Gargoyles have turned this band to rubbish.

There's so many great songs on Night in the Ruts. The band connects it to a very unhealthy lost period for Tyler, but the music is still so strong and original, and Perry co-wrote quite a bit of it, so i think they must apprecaite it more in retrospect. This song, Chiquita, and especially No Surprize are among their very best. Jimmy Crespo did a superlative job on this record and Rock in a Hard Place. and I heard both tours had plenty of great nights.

damn, crespo and dufay, not the best, but someone had to step in. Steven was lost, high and drunk every minute. Tom and Joey had to hold up the band.

Hey longface7, I agree anything after Mirrors sucks, except for Honkin on Bobo, which was a little more old school. This era was great !
